Welcome to St. John’s!

Mrs Richardson

A very warm welcome to the 2017 school year at St John’s Catholic School to each and every student and their families!  I trust that each family has enjoyed the Christmas break and recharged the batteries ready for a busy and fruitful year.  I am certainly looking forward to meeting each school family so please do not hesitate to come up and introduce yourself as I get to know the school community.  A special thank you to everyone who has made me feel so welcome, it is certainly a credit to the St John’s Catholic School community.

The school has been a hive of activity over the past few weeks as all staff prepared for the smooth transition into learning this year. I would like to extend a thank you for their dedication and commitment to ensuring such a successful start to the year.  It was certainly wonderful to walk around on the first day and see smiling students, friendships renewed and children well prepared to learn and grow.

Yesterday students in Grade 3 – 6 participated in the MJR Swimming Carnival at the Clarence Aquatic Centre.  A special thank you for Mr Justin Brasnja for his hard work in ensuring the smooth running of this successful day with a focus on participation, team work and giving of our very best.  We thank also all of the staff and volunteers who played a role as well as those families who could make it along to support their children.  Congratulations also goes out to our amazing House Captains; their encouragement, sportsmanship and leadership were an inspiration to us all.

My son's been just so happy at St. John's. I was so worried about the move but Marcus, the rest of the staff, and the kids at St. John's have allowed him to feel right at home - even after only a few days since we arrived.
